CRISIS IN CONGO: Cobalt Wars, Land Grabs, Food Insecurity, and Hospitals in Crisis

In the Democratic Republic of Congo, hospitals are overwhelmed as M23 rebels intensify their hold on Goma, now claiming over 100 lives in a tragic jailbreak in Munzenze, where women were assaulted and burned alive.

This violation of the ceasefire declared just days ago marks a severe escalation in a conflict that has displaced half a million people this year alone.

International bodies, including the UN and G7 nations, condemn these attacks as flagrant violations of DRC's sovereignty amidst a crisis exacerbated by global battles over local resources.
